About Farmer Paper
Farmer Paper is an initiative by Kalpana Handmade Paper, a name associated with handmade paper, recycling and sustainable product innovation for the past 45 years. Our work is rooted in a simple but powerful belief: waste can be transformed into something beautiful, useful and meaningful.
For decades, Kalpana Handmade Paper has been recycling industrial and agricultural waste into beautiful handmade paper, sustainable stationery, eco-friendly decorative products, meaningful gifts, packaging materials and many more handcrafted paper products. Every product we create carries a purpose: to reduce waste, protect nature, and offer people a better alternative to conventional paper and packaging.
One of our proudest achievements is the creation of India’s first Farmer Paper. By using Parali and other crop residues, we give agricultural waste a new life instead of allowing it to be burnt or discarded. This not only helps reduce pollution and waste, but also creates a unique handmade paper with natural character, texture and environmental value.
Our journey is not only about products. It is also about people. We actively empower uneducated women and village artisans by providing skill-based work, training and livelihood opportunities. Through handmade paper production, many artisans are able to use their hands, creativity and dedication to build products that travel far beyond their villages.
Today, our handmade paper products are appreciated in India and exported to around 15 countries. From sustainable stationery and paper bags to calendars, boxes, frames, folders and custom gifts, our products serve individuals, brands, institutions and businesses that care about responsible choices.
